Why the Honda Insight Is a Top Hybrid?

Honda Insight

Plenty of Exciting Features

When the Insight was originally released as the first hybrid car made by Honda in 1999, it was also the first hybrid vehicle available to North American consumers. At the time, it had a futuristic look and stunning capabilities that generated considerable intrigue. Over the years, Honda has gone to great lengths to regularly improve the Insight so that it remains a leading contender for green car shoppers. The 2019 Insight ushered in the line’s third generation and brought plenty of exciting features and improvements in the process.

What the New Honda Insight Offers

The most recent Honda Insight appeals to drivers who want all of the benefits of a hybrid vehicle along with the aesthetics and technologies of gas-powered models. It now has a sporty sedan body style rather than a liftback design. The new design gives the Insight trunk space that is comparable to that of the new Civic Sedan. It also has updates under the hood with the incorporation of third-generation hybrid technology that features two motors. These are an Atkinson cycle, 1.5-liter gas engine as well as an electric motor that is powered by a lithium-ion battery.

Throughout the interior, the new Honda Insight shares design elements with the new Civic, but it has a larger LCD instrumentation cluster that is similar to the cluster in the new Accord. Advanced trims have a navigation system, dual-zone climate control, leather seating with powered adjustments, smartphone integration and a separate LCD screen for the sound system. Notably, all trims of the Honda Insight now have a full suite of assistive Honda Sensing technologies that promote driver and passenger safety. These include auto emergency braking, forward collision alert, traffic sign recognition, road departure mitigation, lane keep assistance, and several other features.
