Specs at a Glance
The incredibly capable and practical Honda Passport is the perfect vehicle for many people. Once you have decided that this SUV is the right fit for your life, you then have to decide which of the four trims you'd like. Both the Sport trim and the Elite trims are loaded with great features. So in what ways are they alike, and in what ways are they different? Let's take a look.
Performance
When it comes to performance, all four trim levels of the 2020 Honda Passport have the same great engine powering them. It is a 3.5L V6 that will give you 280-horsepower along with 262 lb-ft of torque. Both the Sport and Elite trims pair this engine with a smooth nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard for the Sport, and all-wheel-drive is optional. The Elite trim, on the other hand, comes standard with all-wheel-drive.
Appearance
Both the Sport and Elite trim levels of the 2020 Passport shows off bold styling. The standard for both are alloy wheels. You can have either trim level in great paint colors such as Deep Scarlett, Obsidian Blue, and Lunar Silver. Black Forest Pearl is one color that is available for the Elite but not the Sport.
One thing that sets the two trims apart is the moonroof, which the Elite trim has, but the Sport does not. Both trims offer up stylish gloss black power side mirrors, with the Elite trim further adding integrated turn signals. Roof rails are standard for the Elite trim as well.
Features
You will find many great features inside the cabin of your 2020 Honda Passport, no matter which trim level you select. The standard for the Sport trim are things such as tri-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, a 5-inch display, and a 7-speaker sound system. The Elite trim has those features, plus many more. Highlights include heated and ventilated front seats, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, and a wireless charging pad.
Moving on to driver aids, both trims have you covered. Standard on all models of the Passport are useful features such as forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist. The Elite trim has those features plus blind-spot monitoring and parking sensors.
