One of Arlington's most popular holiday events - the Texas Christkindl Market - returns this year once again offering up holiday spirit German style. Nov. 25 through Dec. 23, guests are invited to the open-air market, where there are over 50 vendors with one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones.

From traditional German crafts and authentic German food to fun entertainment from local German performers, you and your family are sure to find plenty to see and do. The best part is that the event is free to enter and there are a couple of exciting new attractions this year!

Peppermint Park
Peppermint Park is a fun new attraction designed for children. It includes a petting zoo, puppet shows, carnival games, a holiday train ride and much more.

Arctic Blast Tube
If you enjoy snow tubing, there's a 200-foot track that offers an amazing tubing experience. It also happens to use the same technology as equipment that winter sports athletes use for training.

Returning Attractions

  • Children's Lantern Parade on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. - It cost just $25 per child to participate in the parade; however, spots are very limited, so we recommend signing up sooner than later. Each child receives a photo with the Christkindl Angel and a souvenir lantern.
  • Santa Haus with Saint Nick - Every year, Jolly Old Saint Nicholas stops in town, bringing merriment to young girls and boys. Stop by for a meet and greet!
  • Warming Haus - When you need a break from the cool weather, you can relax in the Arlington Highlands Warming Haus, which can hold up to 200 people.
