2017 Honda Accord Overview

The 2017 Honda Accord in Arlington is primarily unchanged for the new model year. It keeps many of the same features as last year's model; however, its lineup does welcome a new Sport Special Edition model. The new addition joins the LX, Sport, EX and EX-L trims, which each continue to come packed with a range of features designed to improve the in-car experience. This year, the Accord Hybrid also makes its return, benefiting buyers who are looking to achieve max fuel economy and own a "green" vehicle.

Top Features & New Model

For 2017, car buyers can once again choose to get the new Accord in two body styles: sedan or coupe. The former is more suitable for drivers who plan on hauling their families around, while the latter is less family focused when it comes to cabin space. On various models of the Accord, you'll find a variety of features, including Bluetooth connectivity, automatic headlamps, a rear trunk spoiler, leatherette seats, a 7-inch touchscreen, a sunroof and keyless ignition/entry. The top-of-the-line Touring trim also adds on automatic wipers, navigation and heated outboard rear seats.

The Sport Special Edition model of the 2017 Honda Accord in Arlington gets all of the features found on the Sport trim, including 19-inch wheels, dual exhaust tips, an eight-way power driver seat and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. It also comes with heated front seats, leather seats with red accent stitching and special badging that sets it apart from other models.

Reliable & Efficient Powertrains

A 185 horsepower 2.4L four-cylinder, producing 181 lb.-ft. of torque, is offered on many Accord models. The Sport trim gets the same engine, however, the output increases to 189 horsepower and 182 lb.-ft. of torque. Depending on which model you get, either a continuously variable transmission or six-speed manual is standard.

Those who want additional power can choose to go with the 3.5L V6, which generates 278 horsepower and 252 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed automatic is paired with the engine, supporting its performance offerings.

The Honda Accord Hybrid packs two electric motors, a lithium-ion battery pack and a 2.0L four-cylinder engine. These components come together to produce 212 horsepower, and deliver an EPA-estimated 48 mpg combined, 49 city and 47 highway.

Available Safety Technology

Noted in several 2017 Honda Accord reviews, a rearview camera is standard on all models. With the Honda Sensing package, you also gain a number of driver-assist features, including forward collision intervention, forward collision alert and lane departure warning. Some of the higher trims also come standard with blind spot warning.
