The 2019 Honda Clarity is Packed with Features Between Two Trims
The Honda Clarity comes in two separate trim levels. The first is the Plug In Hybrid variant. We have already discussed this a bit. The Clarity makes it easy to transition from battery to gas power. If you're a fan of limiting your carbon footprint, this model is sure to help you get there.
The Touring is the other variation you have to choose from, and it includes everything we discussed in the Plug In version we already talked about, and more. For one thing, you have to love the remote climate preconditioning. That means no more burns from those leather trimmed seats or that leather wrapped steering wheel in the summer and no more waiting for the windows to defrost in the winter. It also features the wonderfully fun E-CVT, or electronic continuously variable transmission once you get into Sport Mode.
2019 Honda Clarity Plug In Horsepower
This hybrid is able to get up to 40 miles per gallon on the highway with a cruising range of up to 308 miles in the city. It runs on a Gas/Electric I-4 1.5T 16-Valve DOHC VTEC engine with a displacement of 1.5 L/91. It pulls an SAE Net Horsepower of 212 at 5500 RPM and an SAE Net Torque of 99 at 5000 RPM.
This hybrid features exceptional fuel efficiency, even when running the gas powered portion. The automatic start and stop function of the engine ensures that you can get that extra kick of power from the gas powered engine when you need it.
Honda Clarity Safety Technology Innovations
Honda is known for the quality of safety that it incorporates into its products, so it should be safe to assume the same of the Honda Clarity.
The Clarity does offer similar safety features to similar mid-sized sedans. It has the typical arrangement of airbags, front and side airbags for the two in the front and side airbags in the back. The wonderful rearview cameras comes standard as well. The LaneWatch video camera also comes standard in this Honda. This camera displays an image of your passenger side blind spot right on the dash.
Another safety feature that comes standard is the Honda Sensing safety suite of active safety systems. All of this together should make anyone feel comfortable on the road.
