What's New For the 2020 Honda CR-V?
The Honda CR-V is one of the brand's signature compact crossovers. In 2020, the first CR-V will be launched with a hybrid option for eco-friendly customers. Smaller changes include the addition of Honda Sensing safety technology and a more advanced powertrain to the LX trim. All models of the Honda CR-V sport redesigned rear and front bumpers, taillights, and headlights. The Touring trim will be upgraded with a self-warming steering wheel and wireless charging for smartphones. The USB ports in all trims have been moved to the center console.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?
The 2020 Honda CR-V has four trims: the lower end LX, the mid-range EX and EX-L, and the higher end Touring. All trims have front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, as well as a two-speed transmission. The combined MPG is 29 for the all-wheel-drive variant and 30 for the front-wheel drive. The price differential between the Touring and the LX is approximately $9,000. The CR-V is a vehicle with five seats across all trims. While the LX and the EX only have six color options, the EX-L and the Touring have eight.
A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency
All 2020 Honda CR-V models have a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine that gets up to 190 horsepower. The engine runs on regular gas. This version is more fuel-efficient than the previous version, which had a 2.4-liter engine. The new engine has 179 pound-feet of torque. When the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid is released, it will have a 2-liter engine that's powered by both regular gas and electricity, with a battery pack that can be charged at home. Surprisingly, the CR-V Hybrid will reach 212 hp and is projected to be 50% more fuel-efficient than the standard 2020 Honda CR-V models.
Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020
Now that the LX has been upgraded, all Honda CR-V models will benefit from the Honda Sensing technology. Honda Sensing has adaptable cruise control, lane assist and lane departure warnings, and automatic braking when a pedestrian is in the vehicle's path. The car is equipped with front, side, and overhead airbags for passenger safety during collisions. Stability control and ignition disable device complete the security package.
