2021 Honda Pilot

What's New For the 2021 Honda Pilot?

To elevate the Pilot's performance, every trim now comes equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission. A few additional features also come standard, including dual-zone automatic climate control and an automatic stop-start system. Furthermore, an all-new Special Edition trim arrives for 2021.

2021 Pilot Trims & Features

Honda offers the new Pilot in seven different trims: LX, EX, EX-L, SE (Special Edition), Touring, Elite and Black Edition. Some of the standard equipment found on the base LX trim includes LED headlights, a 5.0-inch display screen, and a seven-speaker audio system.

Even more features are found on the Pilot EX. Honda's Display Audio interface will excite technology lovers. It provides an 8.0-inch color display with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration. Other upgraded amenities found on the EX trim include heated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and One-Touch slide-and-fold second-row seats. Another notch up the trim ladder is the leather-appointed Pilot EX-L, which receives second-row USB charging ports and a sunroof.

New for 2021 is the Pilot's Special Edition trim. Black 20-inch alloy wheels and blacked-out exterior accents help give it a cool look. Featuring heated rear seats and a rear entertainment system, the Touring offers more luxury. Meanwhile, ventilated front seats and second-row captain's chairs are found in the plush Elite trim. Although the range-topping Black Edition trim is similarly equipped, a blacked-out exterior and red interior trim set it apart.

2021 Honda Pilot Horsepower

The 2021 Honda Pilot is motivated by a 3.5-liter, i-VTEC V6 engine. It's rated to crank out a competitive 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission is now standard across the lineup. Not only does the Pilot offer strong acceleration, but it also packs enough muscle to tow up to 5,000 pounds. Available as an option, Honda's i-VTM4 AWD system further enhances traction in bad weather. Snow, sand, and mud driving modes prepare you to travel off the beaten path.

Honda Pilot Safety

When backing up, a standard multi-angle backup camera enhances your ability to spot obstacles. Featuring accident-avoidance technologies like Forward Collision Mitigation and Lane Keeping Assist, Honda Sensing comes standard across the board. Aside from the base LX model, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is also found on every new Pilot.
