The 2017 Honda Pilot in Arlington has gotten a technological update for the new year. These upgrades are sure to please any driver and their passengers as the comfortable and spacious Pilot SUV becomes more fun to drive. Edmunds.com's 2017 Honda Pilot review highlights its supreme comfort and driving ease. The Honda Pilot makes it easy to get around with a large load or a large family.

Pilot Trims & Features

The 2017 Honda Pilot has the choice of four trims: the LX, EX, EX-L, Touring and Elite. Each of these options has eight seats, save for the Elite that converts the second-row seats to captain's chairs, eliminating one seat. The base trim is the LX, which comes with standard features such as a 5-inch central display, Bluetooth connectivity, a folding third row and a rearview camera.

The EX has more extensive standard tech features. It includes remote engine start, the Honda LaneWatch blind-spot camera, an upgraded 8-inch display and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. The next level up is the EX-L which comes standard with leather upholstery, one-touch sliding second-row seats and heated front seats. There is also an extensive list of optional features that can be added to the EX or the EX-L. The Honda Sensing package includes forward collision mitigation with automatic braking, lane departure warning system and adaptive cruise control. An entertainment system with a Blu-ray player, navigation system and additional second row USB ports can be added to the EX-L.

The next trim is the touring model which includes all the standard and optional features of the EX-L. Additionally, the Touring trim comes with roof rails, an upgraded audio system and automatic engine start-stop. Lastly is the Elite trim. In addition to the features on the Touring trim, the Elite's features include blind-spot monitoring, LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, and HD radio.

Generous Power & Performance

2017 Honda Pilot reviews point out its capability and surprising precision for an SUV. Each Honda Pilot has a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The LX, EX and EX-L all have a six-speed automatic transmission, while the Touring and Elite trims have a nine-speed transmission. Each Pilot has a fuel economy of 22 mpg combined.*
