2021 Honda Accord

What's New For the 2021 Honda Accord?

For 2021, there are no significant changes for the Honda Accord. The popular sedan no longer has the 6-speed manual transmission as a choice.

Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2021?

The 2021 Honda Accord is available in LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring trims. Two rows of cloth-trimmed seats accommodate up to five people. A leather-wrapped steering wheel and driver-side power-adjustability appear at the Sport level. Front-seat heating is included at the EX level. The EX-L gets its "L" suffix with the introduction of leather seat trim (in addition to front-passenger-seat power adjustability and driver-side memory). Only the Touring has rear-seat heating and front-seat cooling.

Infotainment on the Honda Accord comes from combining a four-speaker stereo system, an AM/FM radio tuner, Bluetooth wireless technology, and a 7-inch screen. Also standard are a dual-zone automatic climate control system, remote keyless entry, and push-button engine start. For proximity keyless access, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, hands-free text messaging ability, HondaLink remote car connectivity, and an 8-inch touchscreen, go with at least the Sport.

At the EX trim level, the Accord gains remote engine start, a charging-only USB port, HD Radio, and a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio. At the EX-L trim level, the Accord gains an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a garage-door opener, and a 10-speaker stereo system. Only the Touring gets wireless phone charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and 8-inch touchscreen navigation.

What's Under the Hood of the Accord?

Typically, the 2021 Honda Accord is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, which produces 192 horsepower and is mated to a continuously variable transmission. Only the Touring gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, which produces 252 horsepower and is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

Packed With Safety Features

Central to Honda Accord safety is its Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance features. They include forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and road departure mitigation. Joining Honda Sensing are auto high beams and a rearview camera. Eight airbags are on board to provide protection if there's a crash. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are added at the Sport trim level. Only the Touring has front and rear parking sensors to boost the rearview camera's functionality, as well as a head-up display to curb on-the-road distractions.
